Once upon a time there lived a mother duck and she had seven eggs. Out hatched six beautiful ducklings but the last egg was different. It was way bigger. Finally it hatched and out came an ugly duckling. It had grey feathers instead of yellow and it was bigger than the rest. The other ducklings teased him because he was different to the rest of them.
One day he went to find out why he was different. When the ugly duckling was at the other pond, people were being mean and nasty. This didn’t stop him he kept going on.
While the ugly duckling was at his home pond, some swans flew in and landed. When the ugly duckling was swimming he saw his reflection and he realised that he was a swan and the swans were nice to him.
And he lived happily ever after.
So don’t make the mistake of judging a book by its cover.
